Malissa and Christopher Tack live in a perfect miniature home in Snohomish, Washington, which they built themselves taking a little over seven months. The couple have named their cottage-on-wheels The Tiny Tack House, a 140 sq. ft. wooden structure which is complete with living room, kitchen, bathroom and a sleeping loft. They had very little knowledge of how to build a house when they took on the project in order to “downsize”
“The work was done by Chris and myself. There was a few days where the parents flew in to help out with the roof», said Malissa. “We had advice help with the electrical and plumbing from a certified person”. “Just about everyone we know thought we were crazy, but now, everyone loves the idea of the house!” The house has four solar panels and is supplied by a 40 gallon fresh water tank, making it environmentally, as well as financially, friendly.

Το μικροσκοπικό αυτό ξύλινο σπίτι κατασκευάστηκε σε επτά μήνες και είναι μόλις 13 τετραγωνικά μέτρα. Αυτό όμως δε σημαίνει ότι υπολείπεται σε κάτι των κανονικών σπιτιών, αφού διαθέτει σαλόνι, κουζίνα, μπάνιο μέχρι και ξενώνα.
Μάλιστα είναι και φιλικό τόσο ως προς το περιβάλλον όσο και ως προς την τσέπη, αφού είναι εξοπλισμένο με τέσσερις ηλιακούς συλλέκτες, για μεγαλύτερη εξοικονόμηση ρεύματος.
